Never expected military training to be useful in a situation that doesn't involve military or terrorist operations, even if it's just keeping myself out of harm's way while moving between the building, the hangar, and wherever else I felt like going.

The longer I'm here, the more I realize there is absolutely nothing here to hold my interest for long. Hn. Even the war back home and the Preventers afterward provided more of a distraction than this place.

I suppose I should be grateful for the last curse. Because of it, I was able to spend that time in the hangar doing some minor adjustments to Wing's mainframe and work on devising a way to incorporate a variation of the propulsion system found in those skates. It's a little difficult when what's there to work with is unfamiliar at best and downright confusing at worst, not to mention the difference in basic technology and how to go about reworking the original design enough to avoid having to completely dissect and rebuild pieces.
It's a shame I won't remember any of this if I go back...
